There is something really challenging in being a participant and an organiser of Student Switch Off at the same time. As a project coordinator of Student Switch Off in Stockholm I talk to students trying to convince them to do their best in saving energy. At the same time, I am the one of those students that try to save energy both individually and as a member of a corridor team. As a student and participant of Student Switch Off I can say that there is nothing complicated when it comes to saving energy. Even the slightest effort can make a difference and this is something that I learned both as a project coordinator and as a participant.

So what did I finally learn as a student and participant of Student Switch Off? What did I learn by talking to all the participants? The answer is that "every little counts". When it comes to saving energy actions, even the slightest effort can make a difference. Student Switch Off helps in doing this by providing small and easy to apply tips. Putting a lid on when you are cooking and switching off the light when you are leaving the room are both small tips that you can easily be adapted in your everyday life. In other words, when it come to saving energy even the slightest effort can make the difference that you want to see.
