Sweden wins energy saving award

We’re thrilled to announce that our partners in Sweden have been recognised with a Fastighetsmässan award – a testament to the impact of SAVES across the EU.

The Fastighetsmässan award was given at its property fair in Stockholm, recognising initiatives which work to make buildings more energy efficient. It especially rewards schemes which seek to shape values rather than pursue technical solutions.

We can see why the judges were impressed with Student Switch Off – a scheme which engages with young people at a key moment of change, helping them to form responsible habits which can last for a lifetime.

To win this prize when up against nominees like E-On, the largest energy company in Sweden, is outstanding.

After many successful years operating across the UK, it’s fantastic to see the model being formally recognised in only its first year operating across the EU. A massive well done to our partners in Sweden, as well as to everyone else working to drive a more energy-efficient EU.
