Richard Bull (DMU) and Graeme Stuart (Ecovisum), members of the SAVES project, recently attended the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ECEEE) summer study conference in France. As part of the conference, a short paper on SAVES was presented that was co-authored by a number of SAVES partners, discussing the SAVES project, its impact and the role of dashboards.
As part of the ECEEE summer study, a SAVES poster - an infographic illiustrating the results and impact over the last two years -was also presented. We are delighted to say that SAVES was successful in winning Best Display in the 'most innovative or promising project' category. Richard Bull, who was there to receive the award said 'ECEEE is Europe’s most prestigious energy efficiency conference with attendees from all over the world. To win the ‘Jury’ award for most promising or innovative project is a real testament to the quality of the work of all the SAVES team and the impact we’re having not just on students but academics and policy makers across Europe'.
We are looking forward to the next years of the project, and the impact that we will have, especially with more new countries taking on Student Switch Off (Bulgaria, Ireland and Romania). Watch this space!
